What is the Lord's Supper? How and why do we take it? Who's it for? What is God doing? What if I don't feel worthy? Isn't it just a weird ceremony? What about the children?!
These are just some of the questions that people have swirling as they think about the Lord's Supper. We're producing three videos over the next two months to prepare us for taking the Lord's Supper again (at Easter). We know they're not exhaustive in their scope and we hope they're not exhausting to watch! We hope they provide a good way for us to think about this great gift from God to His people.
You'll also find the key scriptures we refer to and the Anglican formularies that we cite underneath. As well as a small selection of other useful resources.
At the bottom of the page there's a place for you to ask questions of Matt and Nick on the content of these videos or any other relating to the Lord's Supper.
Should a Child take the Lord's Supper?
1 Corinthians 10:16-17
16 The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ? The bread that we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ? 17 Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread. (ESV)
